The Bruncvík Boys Choir was founded in 2006 to expand the so far very small number of these choirs in our country. It mainly leads its members to active music making. In addition to musical education, emphasis is also placed on the all-round development of each member's personality and teamwork.
The aim of the corps is to raise honest, courageous, truthful and cultured men. Comprehensive personality development is also important. The choir works in comprehensive projects that focus on different musical styles and important themes. It thus presents itself to the audience at four to five comprehensive thematic concerts every year. The choir's repertoire includes music from all historical periods, which is chosen to appeal to the boys and to suit their voices. They sing Gregorian chant, renaissance polyphony, baroque songs and arias, but also songs by Karel Hašler or Osvobozené dyadlov with great commitment. The choir pays great attention to getting to know different ethnicities and traditions through their musical culture (e.g. Moravian, Jewish, Roma, Polynesian or African).
he motto of the choir is JOY of music.
