Rising French star Eugénie is no newcomer to the world of music. The singer-songwriter had her first big break in 2017, being signed by the renowned Universal France. With her unfiltered cool-girl aesthetic, she quickly gained the attention of big names in fashion, magazines and brands (Chanel, Evian). And the attention didn’t stop there – the release of her hit song “Puis Danse” (5m streams) led her to open for huge French acts such as Vianney, Slimane, Marina Kaye and FEDER.

But nobody could’ve expected what happened next. After a collaboration with Elephanz was certified Gold in 2018, Eugénie stepped back from the traditional limelight. Silent with official releases, but hyperactive on socials. Her series ‘1minute2génie’ (where she toplines over loops that producers send her) has attracted the masses and grown an unrivalled community of collaborators and fans (+150k fans and 4m views on Tiktok). She’s also garnered attention from her unmissable English covers of French hits, acclaimed by the artists themselves (Lous & The Yakuzas, GIMS, Yseult).

Today she’s working with youtube on multiple projects such as a Youtube shorts training camp and is part of their campaign for International Women’s day, with her single Princess used as the track that illustrates this cause.

Eugénie had a great comeback in 2021 with her singles Blue, Princess and Silence. Instantly catching the attention of DSPs and medias, the french singer/songwriter was airplayed on Jack Saunders Show (BBC1), CBC (Radio Canada), BR Puls (Germany), added to 16 Spotify New Music Friday and multiple international spotify playlists like Equal Global, Lorem (at #2) and Indie Pop.

The energetic ‘Blue’ finds her exploring self-doubt about moving forward in music and growing up, while the intimate ‘Silence’ contemplates her relationship with her mother. Accompanied with cinematic music videos that bring her stories to life, every song paints with bold colours to express her deepest thoughts and feelings. Eugénie’s range is undeniable, and she cannot be contained.

Blending mainstream pop with alternative inspirations doesn’t work for everyone – but Eugénie is unlike anyone else. On her upcoming EP, through every lyric and production detail, she gives birth to a complex character, a balance between every contradictory aspect of her personality. With her first single, 4D, she brings innovative sounds that will revolutionise her path as an artist. From the quiet brainiac to the independent badass, Eugénie is never just one thing.
